Our product selection criteria

We evaluate products based on the following criteria:

1. Safety record and ADA or ANSI compliance where applicable 2. Ease of installation for typical home environments 3. Durability and quality of materials 4. Value relative to alternatives 5. Appropriateness for the intended use case 6. User and caregiver feedback where available

We do not accept free products in exchange for placement. Manufacturers may submit products for evaluation, but editorial decisions are made independently.

Products are periodically re-evaluated. If a product is discontinued, significantly changed, or develops a safety concern, we update or remove the recommendation.
